Bob Allen's Joey is an accomplished USBCHA trial dog who's been successful at major trials all over the US. He works both cattle and sheep equally well, and is an excellent example of a 'line dog.' He's a stylish worker who remains calm in high pressure situations, and goes back to some US dogs that I've really come to admire and want to help preserve.
Joey's Trial Career
Joey has a long list of accomplishments in both the sheep and cattle trial world, and the list here is no where near complete! We've hit some of the bigger highlights, but the breadth of Joey's trial experience shows Joey's adaptability to handle tougher western sheep as well as the lighter katadhins often found at the east coast trials. Joey placed 7th at the 2022 USBCHA Sheepdog finals and 1st at the 2022 USBCHA Cattle finals. In 2021 he placed 5th at the Sheepdog finals and 5th at the Cattle finals. He's made the double lift finals at Soldier Hollow, and placed in open runs, semi finals, or DLs at both the Bluegrass, Meeker, etc. on difficult range sheep.
Joey has also produced talented trial dogs, one being Milton Scott's "Bob" who placed 4th at the 2022 USBCHA Sheepdog Finals, and "Buddy" who was the 2022 USBCHA Cattle Nursery Reserve Champion. (And there are countless others not listed here!)
