Registration Rights - Border Collies

Our puppies are sold multiple different ways, depending on the breeding, individual puppy, expertise of the owner, availability to test the puppy/adult on stock, etc.. We consider this an open conversation with each individual owner, and something that is not always static--sometimes puppies grow in ways we couldn't expect, and owners may want the chance to breed their proven, health tested dogs. See below for a some of the ways we register and sell puppies, and never hesitate to reach out to us to open the discussion!

Full Registration

Just as it sounds, this means you'll have full breeding rights to your dog if you choose to breed.

Limited Registration

This registration method does not allow the dog to be bred in the future, but they can compete in both ABCA and AKC events unhindered. We sometimes offer spay/neuter incentives ($200 back for females, and $150 back for males) when proof of spay/neuter is sent to us. We are NOT proponents on early spay neuter, and respect decisions to wait until 1-3 years old to allow dogs time to grow and mature.

Co-Owns

Each co-own is individual and something we offer to specific owners. These agreements have full registration, but breeding rights and costs go to Redbrooke Ranch. Sometimes we release the dogs after one breeding, other times we co-own them for life--this is all dependent on the dog/breeding/owner. Depending on the co-own, the cost of the puppy purchase price may be reduced. These are perfect set ups for those who do not wish to breed on their own, and would like a nice competition dog!
